Mr. Troutman graduated from law school at the University of Kentucky in 1982. He practiced law in Louisville from 1982-1988 with the law firm of Morgan & Pottinger where his practice focused on commercial litigation, creditor’s rights and representing banks in transactional matters. In 1988, he joined the law firm of Fowler, Measle, and Bell in Lexington, KY where he devoted his time to litigation and business matters including contracts, employment, real estate and construction law. Mr. Troutman was a partner from 1991-2002 and served on the firm’s management committee from 1999-2001. From March 2002 until January 2004 he served as President and General Counsel of Dealers’ Financial Services, LLC, a national company with headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky.

In January of 2004 he returned to the practice of law and founded the law firm of Troutman & Napier, PLLC in Lexington where he focuses his practice on litigation including personal injury, wrongful death, employment and business related issues. While he handles smaller matters, he has been fortunate to prosecute cases where the recovery exceeded a million dollars for his client.

Mr. Troutman has been a speaker at various seminars over the years and has served as a mediator in personal injury, business, and other types of litigation.

Mr. Troutman has raised four children and is getting used to being a grandfather. He is married and enjoys playing tennis with his wife, Mary.
